Ana Kerin ( born 1986 in Slovenia , former Yugoslavia)

Studied BA + MD at Fine Art ( sculpture and painting) at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Slovenia and NCAD In Dublin, Ireland. She has been awarded acclaimed Academic awards, represented Slovenia on International Biennale of Contemporary art for Young artist , and been awarded multiple Art residencies.

Her work spanned across many mediums, initially working primarily as a sculptor in large scale installation and in clay, plaster and stone. Her work in stone is displayed as public installations. Her work have over the last decade mainly focused on developing her painting practice.

She Founded Design studio Kana London in 2012 , which is a project developing Art of functional objects. Kana mainly focused on ceramics , glass and furniture pieces.

She lives and works in London , UK

All pieces are made on heavy weight, high quality hot pressed watercolour paper. 

I have used ink, raw pigments, charcoal, pressed oil charcoals and pastels. 

They are all framed in custom built box frames, with a floating mount. 

Frame is built in natural Lime wood (unvarnished, unwaxed or polished - the wood has been chosen due to its supreme quality and interesting nature that keeps the hues light and bright, and doesn’t go yellow or darken)
