Kana clay parlour is offering weekend workshops this summer. For a chance to get fully focused on learning ceramics, we will work over 2 days to create a range of items.

The group sizes are small, which allows for plenty of one-on-one time, making this class suitable for both complete beginners or people who would like to further their clay skills.

Dates and Times:
The workshop runs for 2 days on the 4th and 5th August, between 10am - 5pm.

Day 1 - Saturday 4th August

10am We will welcome you to the weekend with a breakfast on the terrace and a little introduction to our studio and to each other.

The we will begin with learning how to mould and shape our pieces by hand. We will start with small items and as we progress through the day you will each make a couple or larger pieces. We will experiment with different techniques and styles until you find the one that suits you best.

1pm- 2:30pm Over lunch you will have the chance to explore the East End on a (hopefully) sunny Saturday. We will arm you with tips of our favorite local lunch spots and shops.

2:30 - 5pm Back in the studio we will continue to develop our pieces.

Your pieces will be fired over night, ready for glazing on Sunday. And we will have drink and nibbles on the terrace.

Day 2- Sunday 5th August
11am We will continue developing your larger pieces, as well as learning about different glazes and how to apply them.

We will end the day with a glass of prosecco and reflection of the processes you have learnt.

Once glazed, all pieces will be fired and we will arrange a time for you to collect your pieces once they are ready a week later.
