WINTER SESSIONS
This Winter I am bringing you a selection of different workshops,
to explore hand building ceramics, working with clay in large scale , with life nude sculpture, portrait and life nude drawing classes
WEEKDAYS / Wednesdays
CERAMICS
5 week course - CERAMIC HAND BUILDING
Wednesdays evenings 13th November - 11th December / 6.30 pm - 9pm - max 6 people
going deeper into HAND-BUILDING , have you always wanted to try or dive deeper into hand-building, giving it a proper chance to se if you like it, to develop some nice work and enjoy exploring different techniques. over the 5 weeks we will explore different techniques and dive deeper into developing pieces of work. Sessions will be building up knowledge week by week and the group will be small 3-5 people allowing me to work with each of you individually and mentor you depending on your level of experience.
This Classes are 2.5h long, and they are though in my studio on Hackney Road / Shoreditch.
CERAMICS
DROP IN SESSION - Touch and Feel
Wednesday 6th of November - 6.30pm - 9pm - max 6 people
This sessions are really fun and free relaxed, supported environment in which ebeyone gets a time and space to thrive, we have a lot of fun and with keeping the group really small I am able to give everyone a lot of 1:1 time and support with developing their own pieces of work.
disclaimer , during each drop in workshop, you will mentored and guided individually or based on requirements of the group - each person will be able to keep 2-3 pieces depending on size which will be fired and glazed for you carefully, once they will be complete you will be notified and requested to collect your pieces within 2 weeks window

SATURDAYS
Every Saturday Morning we will meet for a different - Drop in Class - If you would like to Commit to the Whole Winter Series and to all 5 sessions - Email me and I can arrange a “one off” payment for a Winter Series Block.
Touch and feel
CERAMIC DROP IN SESSION - Hand building
- SATURDAY 9th November 10 am - 12pm
During each drop in workshop, you will mentored and guided individually or based on requirements of the group - each person will be able to keep 2-3 pieces depending on size which will be fired and glazed for you carefully.
This is a perfect session if you miss ceramics bt cant commit on longer form classes, would like to try out hand building, you have a perticular project in mind.
Come sooth your nervous system and make with your hands.

Clay Sculpture
Body - Life Nude Model - Clay Sculpture -
SATURDAY 16th November - 10 am - 1pm
During first 2 hour session we will work with a life nude model, Our Muse! you will be welcomed to start with charcoal and scketch book and warm up before going into clay, or could go right into it. We will focus on a small figurative study much like a croque drawing , but this time in clay. You can make one or few. Explore the Figurative form and enjoy the beauty and inspiration of female form that can take you into abstraction. You are welcome to play and explore how it would be if you take as inspiration Brancusi, Hepworth Giacometti, Bourgeois or any other artist that inspires you. We are all learning with observing.
Last 1h will be dedicated to prepare the sculpture, hollow it, carve the base and prepare it to be safe for drying for firing. Thats also art in itself.
This is suitable for begginers as well with those with their pwn practice.

Life Nude Drawing
Body - Life Nude Model - Drawing and painting session
- SATURDAY 23rd November - 11 am - 1 pm
This session is with a life nude model - our Muse -
You will be guided through a series of shorter sitting poses into a longer pose.
We will work with charcoal and also explore the difference with “drawing ’ with a brush and painting.
This is suitable for beginners as well as for those with their own practice who would like to work with a lIfe nude Model.

Sculpture and Ceramics
Large Scale Coiling Masterclass
- SATURDAY 30th November - 10 am - 1 pm
During this 3 hours session, We will be exploring how to attempt and prepare working on a Larger Scale Handbuilded Coiled Pot.
This is a great technique that allows you a lot of freedom with form and shape you can explore.
Going large is a great challenge and it is often intimidating.We will firstly work with drawing an idea, plan making stages, prep the clay and dive into how far it gets us. Last 30 min will be used to trouble shoot ( as mistakes happen but its all about what we do with them) and learn from one another. We will aim to complete the piece to have a whole circle experience.
Suitable for beginners in large scale, But for thos who have some hand building experience. There will be time for questions and a lot of 1:1 mentoring.

Meditation in Clay
Self reflection / a unique workshop in clay -
SATURDAY 7th December - 10 am - 12.30pm
This class will be a little different than usual workshops. This is an opportunity to explore what else this work with clay has on offer and how it can be used as a tool for “ Self reflection” Workshop
During this session you will experience the best benefits of dropping into your hands and sense of touch, the class will be guided through initial short body dropping meditation session and accompanied with journaling prompts to observe the surfacing of our emotions. During the first half of clay session we will work with pinching and coiling technique and and in the second half we will be using a mirror and attempting at making a self reflection ( mask) in clay.

This short retreat immersion - is perfect if you are curios how I teach on retreats and in need of short retreat escape in a busy London life.
