A draft Schedule for the Retreat:  ( * and this might be changed up) 

Friday 

1pm - 4pm - life nude model - drawing and painting 

5pm - 7pm - life nude model - sculpture ( or you can stay with drawing and painting if you prefer / more interested) 

*glass of wine at the wine bar/ pub , This is not obligatory and not included in the retreat price, if the group will feel we have enough energy after our firs day, i would suggest we3 could grab a glass of wine nearby in one of great wine bars or pubs 

Saturday 

 9.30am  - 1pm  - starting on large scale hand building piece 

3pm - 6pm - Clay ( continue on large scale, starting a new piece, I will be there to show also other techniques and you are welcome to come with ideas of what you would like to make)

*dinner - this is not obligatory and not included in the retreat price. 

 I will book a dinner in one of my favourite places in the area, if you choose to join, it would be lovely to have a chance to have dinner together. 

Sunday

10am  - 1 pm - Clay  - Option to learn and make a KURINUKI technique piece ( continue on large scale pieces you worked on on Saturday , starting a new piece, I will be there to show also other techniques and you are welcome to come with ideas of what you would like to make)

2pm  - 4*pm -  Clay - finishing all pieces, making sure they are ready for drying and firing / selecting what to keep etc.

* an earlier finish for anyone who would like to travel same evening 

Price: £550 for 3 days / £400 for the weekend 

It would include all materials and life nude models. 

A Selected amount of pieces will be fired and glazed for you.

If you want you could attend a glazing session at a later time and glaze pieces as part of a glazing class we could arrange a date depending on demand.

Our Touch and Feel London retreat, is suitable for all levels, its a great introduction to hand building with clay and perfect if you’re a complete beginner –  and if you have some more experience there’s so much to build on. This retreat gives you a perfect opportunity to drop deeper if you would like to really give it a proper try or a kick start to pick up where you have left. Its wonderful for anyone when you feel like returning to the practice and a great way to go deeper.

Its a perfect retreat from the outside wold and every day life, as we will really create our own bubble and explore hand building, sculpture, ceramics and also a life nude drawing and painting session, one thing leads to another and all different approaches are connected and inspire one another.

WHAT TO EXPECT

 I like to keep classes to a minimum, up to 6 people per group to ensure a relaxing and rewarding experience for all.

In this 3 day workshop you will be shown three different hand-building techniques as well. as Kurinuki a sculptural Clay carving teqnique.

You are welcome to play and experiment as much as you like within those days. Then we ask you to choose your favourite pieces for us to process for you. We glaze your pieces in our Snow White dipping glaze and fire everything for you. if you would like to keep more pieces we can discuss additional cost.

COLLECTION

Classwork is usually ready in 5-8 weeks. We will notify you by email and you can pop by the studio to collect your pieces.

Shipping is not included in the price

Unfortunately once we have notified you, we can not keep items for longer than two weeks due to limited storage.

Something comfy to wear , and that you are not to precious about, its gonna get messy!

CANCELLATION POLICY:

All workshop/class/course bookings are non-refundable, but if you can’t make it, it’s possible to transfer to a friend who’d love it.
